With the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama on January 20th not far away we figured why not feature some of the many Obama t-shirts out there.  Below are a select few that I particularly like.  The three featured start with one dedicated to the inauguration from Choice Shirts.  The second has a Star Wars theme and the final selection is Obama as Superman.

The whole inauguration event is shaping up to be one to remember, with tickets for the inauguration party apparently now being touted for as much as $40,000 online!  Obama will be ’sworn in’ before noon on January 20th, with organizers predicting that the number of people descending on Washington could exceed the record of  1.5 million that turned out when Lyndon Johnson became president in 1965.  The event is an opportunity for Obama to make a statement that could live long in history – I doubt Obama can surpass John F. Kennedy’s “Ask not what not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country” speech made at his inauguration in 1961, but you never know.

Obama t-shirts were a big thing during the election campaign and not surprisingly there are still plenty out there, some specifically targeting the inauguration as with the first design below.  Also not surprisingly the number of A-list celebrities getting involved is pretty big.  Included amongst various reports is one stating that Bruce Springsteen will play a free show at Washington’s National Mall on January 18th.

Historic for many reasons, not least the fact the Obama will be the first African-American president, why not join the party with a Barack Obama t-shirt.
